In the shadow of cinema, Francis Ford Coppola created “Apocalypse Now”, a work of art that resonates through the ages. For me, this artistic creation was a profound source of inspiration, an invitation to question our times. Through two short animations, I wanted to explore this fundamental question: are our times moving towards darkness or towards light?

Every societal change that occurs over time has the power to transform the course of history. The advent of artificial intelligence represents a decisive turning point, a future that is already upon us. It is imperative that we become aware of the direction in which our ship Earth, this small planet lost in the immensity of the universe, is heading.

Decisions taken by those in power can be life-saving or catastrophic. Through the prism of the mask, I set the scene for the upheavals that are disrupting our environment: global warming, fires, floods, storms and extreme heat. All these upheavals are undermining humanity and the animal kingdom, plunging our world into perpetual uncertainty.

The unbridled arms race, with its billions spent, could be redirected for the well-being of humanity. Yet differences persist on the question of AI. If properly channeled, this power can become a positive force for human development. But if not, it could lead to endless chaos and self-destruction.

My intention is not to paint a black picture, but to invite us to become more aware. It's essential to understand what is, what was, and what will be.
